Quick Tip: Cut some easy calories!

If you are like me, you are usually trying to eat healthy.  One of my favorite breakfasts is nonfat greek yogurt with fresh berries, honey (or agave nectar,) and granola.

While granola can be good for you, (it is chock full of whole grains and often dried fruits and nuts) it is also chock full of calories.

I have discovered an easy way to cut a few calories and not sacrifice taste OR that all important crunch!

Crush up about 1/4 cup of cereal- such as Special K or Corn Flakes and sprinkle it over the top in place of the granola.

For example- 1/4 cup of Special K Red Berries is about 27.5 calories, where as a 1/4 cup of my favorite granola (Bear Naked Fruit and Nut) is 140 calories.

In my world, that’s a pretty big deal!
