Prosecco Lemon Slush

- Prosecco Lemon Slush
OK, So I kind of ripped this recipe off from an episode of Bobby Flay I watched recently. But I was so excited, I had to share it. It combines 2 of my great loves in life. Lemons, and prosecco. What else does a girl need really?
I have modified his recipe, because #1, I don’t like mint in my drinks. And #2, I do not stock lemon flavored vodka at my house- but I do have a big @ss bottle of regular vodka. I will share with you my recipe, but at the end of this post I will include Bobby’s original recipe as well, if you are so inclined.
It is officially called Sgroppino and is a popular italian after dinner drink. But since I have no idea how to pronounce that, I am renaming it the…
PROSECCO LEMON SLUSH
1 bottle Prosecco
5 oz vodka
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Lemon Sorbet
Lemon slices for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix prosecco, vodka and lemon juice in a pitcher.
Put a big scoop of lemon sorbet in each glass, and pour mixture over top of it.
Garnish with lemon slice and ENJOY!
It’s just like the old saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make Sgroppino… I mean, Prosecco Lemon Slush.
Bobby’s Recipe:
1 bottle of prosecco, very cold
4 oz lemon flavored vodka
3 Tbsp chopped mint
Lemon Sorbet
Mint sprigs, for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS:
Whisk vodka, mint and prosecco together.
Place a small scoop of lemon sorbet in each champagne flute and top with drink.
Garnish with mint sprigs.
Please drink responsibly.
