Give Placemats a Chance

This entry is part 1 of 11 in the series Hot Glue

Clearly, you can see that my end tables are boring and also in bad shape.

So, I said to my husband-

“Honey? If I could get 2 new end tables for $150 what would you say?”

(Personally, I think 2 end tables for $150 is a pretty sweet deal… thank you Homegoods)

He said… “Uh, No.”

And this is the story of my life.

So I set out to better what I had.

Here is what I came up with:

 I got a new lampshade- $12, a set of 4 placemats for $10.

I used 2 of them on this table because there is a lower shelf on it.

(so $5 for those on this table.)

The vase and flowers I got on clearance at Michaels.

Vase: $2, Flowers: $2.

The picture frame and photo books I already had.

Voila! New end table for $21.

And there is Julie and I…. awww… isn’t that cute?

No lie, that picture really sits there so I can gaze adoringly at Julie’s beautiful face all the time.

(On the other table I used a new lampshade, the other 2 placemats and a little birdhouse for $7)

Total for second end table: $24
