My parents purchased these botanicals more than 30 years ago at the NY Museum of Art. They hung over their bed for many years. As time went on they ended up in the basement. When they re-decorated their family room, they pulled them out of the basement, re-framed them and gave them a new life. When they moved to Florida they ended up in my hands and hung over my bed for years. I re-decorated my bedroom and they ended up in my basement.
Talk about a vicious cycle!
I really loved them so I decided to find a place for them and give them a new life yet again! I bought frames at Michaels for $11.00 a piece. I was really happy with the result and they live on. There is something really comforting about having things from your childhood home. It takes me right back to that time and makes me smile. I hope this will inspire you to give new life to something from your childhood.
With 6 young kids between us, we are trying to manage the demands of home and motherhood, and start a catering business- Valley Girls Gourmet. Here we share some of our recipes, tips for the busy mom, tricks for decorating on a dime, and hopefully a few laughs, too.
