After having 2 boys for 6 years and then having a girl is a rude awakening! Who knew there were so many accessories they would require! Boys have t-shirts, polos, khakis, jeans and shorts. Girls have ribbons, bows, barrettes, pony holders, pants, jeans, leggings, jeggings, shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, skorts, ballet flats, sneakers, boots, sandals and the list goes on…….
I thought I was high maintenance!
I went to buy my daughter, Cat, some headbands because, unfortunately, she will not wear anything else. I was so frustrated in the store because all the cute ones with the flowers on them were $5.00+ for just one headband.
I thought to myself, how hard can this be?
So I purchased a pack of 6 Goody colored headbands for under $5.00 and went on my way. When I got home I scoured my basement for any old fake flowers I was no longer using and I also purchased some flowers on clearance for $2.99 at The Christmas Tree Shop.
That evening I heated up the old glue gun and simply glued the flowers onto the side of each headband. I took a leaf from the flower and glued it onto the underside of the flower to make sure it was really secure. CAUTION!! Be careful of your fingers and the hot glue!! I learned that the HARD way folks!
I was really happy with the result!! Now I have 6 headbands for the price of about $8.00. That’s a $22.00 savings!! Now I can spend THAT money on all the rest of the CRAP I need to buy for her!!
