Asian Slaw

 If you are looking for an easy and delicious side for you next barbecue,

this is IT!

You will need:


1 head of green cabbage  (1 bag of shredded)

1/2 head of red cabbage

1 tbsp salt

1/2 cup of rice wine vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp of Thai chili sauce

3 tbsp of creamy peanut butter

1 tsp of minced ginger

2 tbsp of brown sugar

2 carrots shredded

4 scallions

1/4 cup of sesame seeds, toasted


Cut the green cabbage, red cabbage and carrots into  thin shreds.  Put them in a large bowl and sprinkle the salt over them.  Toss and put aside.   Cut the scallions and add to the cabbage mixture.   In another bowl add the rest of the ingredients except for the sesame seeds, whisk really well until blended.  1/2 hour before you are ready to serve your slaw, dress it and toss well.  Refrigerate.  Add the sesame seeds on top when you are ready to serve.
